Everything you need to know about Splitcart's cost splitting platform for group ticketing.
Consumer Questions
Splitcart is a group cost splitting tool that allows you and others to pay your share of the cost in real-time during checkout.
Splitcart makes group cost splitting easy. Focus on the event instead of chasing friends to get paid back. No more fronting the cost for days, weeks, or even months. Invite others to pay their share — no hopping between apps for tracking payments, and no sending money to one person in the group. It also encourages your group to commit before tickets sell out.
Splitcart provides a checkout option with merchants that allows you to pay your share and send a payment link to others to pitch in and fund the order. You can monitor your group and watch as others contribute.
During your checkout process, Splitcart provides you a payment link to invite others to contribute.
You can invite as many people to your group as needed. Did you forget to invite someone? No worries — the organizer can always go back and invite more participants for cost splitting.
To avoid messy payback scenarios, a small fee is charged to split the cost. When and where fees occur is merchant dependent.
All cancellations and edits to your order are handled by the merchant. Please see the merchant's policies for changes, cancellations, and refunds.
Merchant Questions
No, Splitcart is just an option for your customers to split the cost and directly fund the order. Our solution facilitates the transaction but does not interfere with your current flow of funds.
Each person will claim their ticket and receive it just like they do today. Splitcart provides the ability for each person to control their own ticket without interfering or introducing a new process. This also helps remove any manual distribution of tickets that the group organizer or sales reps are required to do.
Splitcart has the flexibility to accommodate your business needs. Your sales rep has the tools to decide payment time windows based on the event date.
The initial purchaser enters their payment method before they invite others to pay. In the event that not all group members contribute their share, the remaining difference is charged to the initial purchaser or tickets can be released back into inventory.
